"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Nicholas Brendon fell short in the slaying department a few hours ago, after he allegedly swung at a couple of cops, and then went on a misguided foot chase.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they received a call that a drunk man was causing a commotion in Venice, CA. When police responded, sources say Brendon took a swing at cops.
We're told Brendon then beat a hasty retreat -- in vain, because Jaafar isn't the only one who has a taser.
Brendon was tased twice, subdued and taken to a hospital.
He's currently being booked for felony vandalism -- for allegedly damaging some property during the fracas.
"Deadliest Catch" star Jake Harris -- arrested last month for DUI, hit-and-run and much, much more -- had his DUI case dropped yesterday ... which is what normally happens when you blow a .00.
And it gets better for Jake ... even though he admitted to having a prescription for Xanax -- cops had no evidence he was driving under the influence of the med.
And there's more good news for Mr. Harris. Although an imprint of what looks like Jake's license plate was found on the car he allegedly hit ... he wasn't charged with hit-and-run because witnesses couldn't place him behind the wheel.
Jake was charged with driving on a suspended license and reckless driving. He's due back in court on March 26.
Alexis Neiers -- who's been charged with breaking into the home of Orlando Bloom -- is telling her side of the story ... with a reality show.
Premiering last night, "Pretty Wild" documented Alexis' arrest and subsequent on-camera meltdowns -- where the model denied any involvement with the Burglar Bunch and said the entire situation was "not fair."
Miami Heat forward Dorell Wright was arrested in Miami Beach early this morning after cops say he was driving his 2005 Bentley under the influence of alcohol.
According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, Wright was pulled over at 3:37 AM after cops noticed he was driving erratically.
Cops say they approached the vehicle and when they began talking with Wright, they noticed "red and watery eyes, odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, and low and slurred speech."
Cops say the 24-year-old couldn't provide current insurance information -- they also discovered he was driving on a suspended driver's license.
Wright was taken to a nearby jail where he was booked for DUI and driving on a suspended license.
Earlier in the evening, Wright played 22 minutes in the Heat's victory over the Los Angeles Clippers -- but he only scored one point in the game.
One of the stars of the Pussycat Dolls reality show "Girlicious" finally got some time in front of the camera yesterday -- after she was arrested for allegedly carrying more than a dozen bags of cocaine in her Gucci purse.
Cops claim 21-year-old Natalie Mejia was a passenger in a car that was pulled over for speeding in Glendale, California yesterday. When they noticed all of the coke in Mejia's purse, she was arrested and taken to a nearby jail ... where she posed for her glamorous mug shot.
Mejia was being held for suspicion of cocaine for sale or distribution.
DMX appeared in court for the gazillionth time yesterday -- and went absolutely ballistic after the judge left the courtroom.
Visibly and audibly ticked that a photog was allowed in court, a fidgety DMX waited for his hearing to begin -- and after it was over, he went off.
Looking right at the camera, DMX starting raving "I'm the only one got arrested today ... f**king c**ksuckers do it every time man ... I get my rights violated but I gotta be quiet about it ... f**king bitch man."
The rapper is currently being held on no bond -- he'll be back in court March 16.
Ryan Seacrest's stalker, Chidi Uzomah, just pled no contest to felony stalking ... TMZ has learned.
Uzomah, who repeatedly hunted the "American Idol" host down and came close to him while armed with a knife, agreed in court to submit to a 3-month psychiatric evaluation at Chino State Prison in California.
As for prison time, we're told he could serve up to 2 years behind bars. And it's likely the judge will issue a criminal stay away order to keep Uzomah clear of Ryan Seacrest for the next 10 years.
People who worked on the case say the L.A. County Deputy D.A. assigned to the case, Wendy Segall, drove a hard bargain.
At the Academy Awards, only certain fake items are tolerated -- and according to cops, red carpet passes are not on the list.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ 9 German men were arrested on the red carpet at The Oscars yesterday -- in the middle of peak celebrity traffic time -- after cops noticed ze Germans were rubbing elbows with the stars without proper authorization.
When cops approached the men around 4:45 PM PST, we're told they brandished red carpet passes with the MTV and CITI logos on them -- but the problem, according to law enforcement, was that the passes were counterfeit.
Ze Germans were rounded up, arrested for trespassing and taken to a nearby jail. We're told they're expected to be released some time this morning.
Nicole Richie wasn't the only person who looked out of place at The Oscars -- TMZ has learned cops had to spring into action Sunday when a non-Hollywood type ran onto the red carpet.
It all went down around 1:30 PM PST -- right before the stars began to arrive.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they believe a 28-year-old dude scaled a six or seven foot fence, got on to the red carpet and began "skipping."
We're told he then broke in to a run but cops immediately caught up with him and escorted the dude to the ground.
The man was arrested for trespassing. He's currently being held on $5,000 bail.
It took a few weeks, but cops have finally arrested a man they believe snatched a TMZ camera from a TMZ photog (while it was recording) .... and it's all because the perp did the most stereotypical bad guy thing ever -- he returned to the scene of the crime! It all went down at L.A. County Superior Court yesterday, when our cameraman was trying to shoot Kid Rock -- and noticed the suspect walking around the very area where our photog was jacked last month.
Our photog tipped off the cops, who swarmed in and made an arrest -- and of course, our photog recorded the whole thing ... while holding on to his camera this time.
Lil Wayne won't be going to jail today after all -- his hearing was just postponed due to a fire in the courthouse where he was scheduled to be sentenced.
We're told the fire occurred in the basement of the Manhattan Criminal Court building at 10:29 AM ET sending smoke throughout the building and causing a complete evacuation.
The fire was under control by 11:55 AM ET -- but the damage was done ... because Lil Wayne's attorney says the courthouse has now been shut down for the rest of the day.
Wayne -- who pled guilty to attempted weapons possession last year -- was supposed to be sentenced last month ... but the rapper was able to delay the hearing until today so he could have dental surgery on his grill.
Wayne's attorney tells TMZ the rapper has no idea his sentencing has been postponed, because he's on a plane right now.
UPDATE 2:12 PM ET: A court official tells TMZ Wayne will be sentenced tomorrow ... unless the hand of God comes down and saves him yet again.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Ronald Reagan's grandson after dude blew off a court date for a marijuana arrest ... an arrest that flew right under the radar.
TMZ has learned Cameron Reagan was arrested on November 9, 2009 after cops pulled the 31-year-old over for speeding in Malibu.
According to the arrest report, cops say they found weed in Cameron's car and arrested him for marijuana possession.
Cameron was set to be arraigned on January 8th but never showed up ... so the judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
And get this -- just one day before his scheduled hearing, Cameron was arrested for that whole panic button incident at his parents' home ... where he allegedly cussed out cops and resisted arrest.
Chikezie Eze is now dealing with a felony arrest because he just wanted to smell good.
We spoke with the "American Idol" alum a few minutes ago about his arrest last night at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills for felony identity theft.
Chikezie says he went cologne shopping at Neiman's last night, took two bottles to the counter and presented his Neiman's credit card -- a card he had never used before.
Chikezie says the clerk flagged the card, called security and he was taken downstairs for questioning. He says he was told something was "untrue" on his credit card application, though he had no idea what it could be.
Chikezie says, "They said they were waiting for someone to use the card and when they did they would pull them down."
Chikezie says he has no idea what information on the application might be false, adding, "I am who I am. It's not like I can hide that." He mentioned security said something about the name of his company -- Advanced Business Strategic Solutions -- on the application, but didn't know if that's why Neiman's flagged the card.
Chikezie says, "I haven't done anything wrong myself and I'm pretty confident nothing is going to happen."
Remember Chikezie from "American Idol?" Well, apparently a sales person at Neiman Marcus remembered him because the singer was busted last night for felony identity theft ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.
Chikezie Eze was at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills when he allegedly tried to use "fraudulent means" -- possibly a phony check or credit card -- to purchase merchandise.
Chikezie was detained by store security until the Beverly Hills cops arrived. The singer was then taken to Bev Hills jail and booked on felony identity theft.
He is currently in jail, where he's being held on $50,000 bail.
UPDATE: We're told Chikezie was busted at the counter of Neiman Marcus with items he was trying to purchase.
UPDATE: Chikezie bailed out.
UPDATE: A rep for Neiman Marcus tells TMZ, "We're cooperating with local authorities."
"Deadliest Catch" star Jake Harris was busted for DUI -- and his arrest was filmed from above, courtesy of a Washington State Patrol chopper.
The 24-year-old was pulled over after a witness called 911 about an aggressive driver. The footage -- which is pretty interesting to watch -- shows Jake flunking a field sobriety test.
We're told Jake, whose father Captain Phil Harris died earlier this month, refused to take a blood-alcohol test.
As we previously reported, Jake was arrested on suspicion of DUI, hit-and-run and driving on a suspended license.
He was released on $1,500 bond Saturday and will be in court tomorrow.
